Teamwork in Action: Maintaining a Clean and Welcoming AST Campus

Mr. Peter Lin has been part of the AST community for six and a half years. As a staff member of the GAO department, he and the cleaning team work hard every day to keep the campus clean and comfortable. From cleaning lunch tables and collecting food waste to fixing bathroom and lighting issues, Peter and the cleaning crew's dedication helps make AST a better place to learn.

Maintaining such a large campus is not easy, but teamwork makes it possible. Peter believes that teachers and students also play an important role in keeping the campus clean. "If everyone helps a little," he says, "it will make a big difference." The cleaning team also reminds everyone to sort their trash properly before throwing it away, avoid pouring food waste into sinks, and always flush the toilet after use. Remember to throw tissues in the trash can, not the toilet, to avoid clogging.

Over the years, Peter has noticed a clear improvement in the cleanliness of AST. Classrooms and bathrooms have become cleaner, as have the gym and cafeteria. What makes him most proud is seeing students take initiative to tidy up their classrooms and work together to create a better learning environment.

Looking ahead, the cleaning team's goal is to have easily accessible cleaning supplies available in every building. This way, teachers and students can handle small messes immediately when needed. It would also allow the cleaning crew to focus more time on larger cleaning tasks around the campus. If a mess cannot be handled independently, please report it promptly to the cleaning team for assistance.

Mr. Peter Lin is grateful to be part of the AST community, and he hopes everyone will continue to work together to maintain and improve the school environment.

齊心協力，打造乾淨、宜人的 AST 校園

Mr. Peter Lin 已經在 AST 服務了六年半，作為學校GAO的一員，他與清潔團隊每天都努力工作，讓校園保持乾淨與舒適。從每日的餐桌清潔、廚餘回收服務，到處理廁所與照明問題，Peter 和清潔團隊的努力，讓 AST 成為一個更適合學習的地方。

維護這麼大的校園並不容易，但團隊合作讓這一切成為可能。Peter 認為，老師與學生在維持校園整潔上也扮演著重要角色。他說：「如果每個人都願意幫一點忙，就能帶來很大的改變。」清潔團隊也提醒大家，要將垃圾分類後丟入垃圾桶、不要將食物殘渣倒進水槽、如廁後要記得沖水，並且把衛生紙丟進垃圾桶，而不是馬桶，以避免阻塞！

多年來，Peter 注意到 AST 的整潔程度有明顯提升。教室和廁所變得更乾淨，體育館與餐廳也是如此。讓他最感到驕傲的是能看見學生開始主動整理教室，並共同打造更好的學習環境。

展望未來，清潔團隊的目標，是讓每棟校舍都能有易於取得的打掃用具，讓老師與學生緊急時能先處理臨時的小型髒亂。這樣一來，清潔團隊就能有更多時間專注在校園中較大的清潔任務上。如果遇到自己無法處理的狀況，請及時向清潔團隊回報以尋求協助。
