Faculty Spotlight~ Mr. Kevin Stofocik

Mr. Kevin Stofocik’s story as a teacher began during his senior year, this was because his English teacher inspired him to teach. Then he visited Taiwan briefly in 2019, and even built connections with Mr. Sparks, Ms. Sylvester, and Ms. Stark. This was what first led him to our school. His interview with Dr. Brown further solidified his interest in coming to AST.

Mr. Stofocik faces many challenges every day, just like us, he also procrastinates and finds it hard to stay motivated. He tries his best by creating to-do lists to help him get his work done. When he is facing challenges, he usually creates a to-do list to help him get over the day making the challenges easier.

As a teacher, he does hope to motivate the students by finding books and texts he hopes they find interesting. He hopes to make students more independent by using Kagan Structures and other teaching methods.


Mr. Kevin Stofocik會想從事教職，是因為12年級時，他的英語老師啟發了他。之後，他在 2019 年到台灣短暫停留，也與Mr. Sparks、Ms. Sylvester 和Ms. Starks聯絡上了。他與 Dr. Brown 會談過後，進一步加深了他來 AST 的興趣，這也是他來到AST的原因。

Mr. Stofocik每天都會面臨很多挑戰，就像我們一樣，他也有拖延症候群，很難保持高度的動機，因此他會盡力列出待辦事項清單來幫助他完成工作，讓挑戰變得容易些。身為一名老師，他真切的希望透過學生感興趣的書籍和教學內容來激勵他們，他也相信透過運用Kagan Structure和其他教學方法，能讓學生更獨立的學習。
