<Ms. Annie Tung, Deputy Head of School / ES Principal>

Ms. Annie Tung has been a beacon of leadership at AST Elementary School for over six years. As principal, she's watched countless students grow from tiny first graders to confident high schoolers. She's witnessed remarkable changes in the school, from new soccer field, bathroom upgrades, to new furniture and technology in the classrooms. She feels fortunate to be part of this vibrant and growing community.

Before becoming principal, Ms. Tung was a teacher herself. This firsthand experience gives her a unique understanding of the challenges teachers face. She believes AST is a home of strong, dedicated, and highly skilled teachers, and she enjoys working alongside them. She is committed to fostering a collaborative environment where teachers can share best practices and grow together, always striving to meet the unique needs of their students. Walking into classrooms to observe best teaching strategies and engaging with students on their tasks is one of the most rewarding parts of her day.

Ms. Tung believes in the power of strong relationships, starting each day with a Morning Meeting to build a positive class community and providing students with valuable social-emotional learning (SEL) lessons. She's committed to knowing her students' needs and stories, creating a safe space where they feel heard and valued.

Outside of school, Ms. Tung is a proud mother of two. As she watches her children grow, she feels a special connection to her own childhood. During holidays, she enjoys spending time with her family, For example, going to places in Taiwan or traveling overseas.

Ms. Annie Tung在AST擔任小學校長已超過六年，她見證了無數學生從小小的一年級生成長為自信的高中生。學校也經歷了許多重大變化，包括新建足球場、升級洗手間、以及在教室內添置新家具和科技設備。她感到非常幸運能成為這個充滿活力且不斷成長的學校的一員。

在成為校長之前，Ms. Tung是一位教師，這段親身經歷讓她能夠充分理解教師們所面臨的挑戰。她相信AST小學部擁有一群堅強、敬業且很有能力的教師，她很享受與他們合作。Ms. Tung致力於營造一個合作的環境，讓教師們可以分享最佳實踐並共同成長，始終努力滿足學生的獨特需求。每天進入教室觀察教學策略並與學生一起完成任務，是她工作中最有成就感的時刻之一。

Ms. Tung相信建立強大的人際關係的力量，因此每天都會舉行晨會來建立積極的班級共同體，並為學生提供有價值的社會情緒學習（SEL）課程。她致力於了解學生的需求和經驗，創造一個讓他們感到被傾聽和重視的安全空間。

工作之餘，Ms. Tung是一位有兩個孩子的好母親。看著她的孩子們成長，她感受到與自己童年時期的特殊聯繫。在假期時，她喜歡與家人在一起，例如去台灣各地或到海外旅行。
