Hola, ¿Cómo estás, yo estoy bien y tú ? Ms. Ximena Dombkowski has taught this phrase to each and every student for over 6 years at AST with kindness and respect toward every one of them. Ms.Ximena originally came to Taiwan because of a multicultural family. Mr.Dombkowski and Ms.Ximena decided to expose their beloved sons to another culture which is Taiwanese, and while Ms. Ximena and her husband were looking for a job offer in other foreign countries, AST offered both of them a job here in Taiwan. Away from school, Ms. Ximena enjoys cooking Colombian food like Arepas and Sudado. She also enjoys reading. She started her love for reading after she joined a reading club. During her childhood, she liked to go under the sun and play with her two sisters outside. She also had a lot of family gatherings which has impacted her a lot in her life because she believes that family is very important.

Originally she got into teaching after she married the love of her life, Mr. Dombkowski, and she left Colombia to move to the US. During her time in Colombia she studied psychology which made her decide to start her business as a life coach. But while she was waiting for approval to start working as a life coach, she applied to be a substitute teacher in the elementary school where Lorenzo and Felipe both studied. Serendipitously, the nearby high school was also missing a Spanish teacher, and since she was a certified substitute teacher and was Colombian, the high school wanted her to go to begin working to become a fully certified teacher. After receiving her certification and spending much time in the classroom, she has fallen in love with this job forever.

Why does Ms. Ximena own a dog? During the time of Covid, she started to feel very lonely because she was not able to visit her family in Colombia. She traveled to Tainan with a friend one day and went into a pet store. There were many dogs there, but when she saw Yuki, it was just like with her husband; love at first sight. She brought Yuki home and cured her loneliness.

Hola, ¿Cómo estás, yo estoy bien y tú ?
